LOGICAL OR ILLOGICAL?

Examine a biblical proposition. Render your verdict. Then read the scholarly breakdown of the reasoning — and the fallacies — involved.

Proposition 1
"Because Scripture says 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,' every personal ambition I have is guaranteed to succeed."

More propositions are added regularly — the testing ground grows with the curriculum.

A New Educational Initiative

TTOTGOSPEL Children's Reading Tutorial

Learn to Read • Read to Learn • Grow in Understanding

A dedicated reading instruction program for children, built on proven literacy research and offered within a caring, Christ-centered environment. Parents and guardians guide the process — from first contact to ongoing progress.

The Seven Pillars of Reading

Reading Skills We Build

Phonemic Awareness

Hearing, identifying, and manipulating the individual sounds in spoken words.

Phonics

Connecting written letters to the sounds they represent — the code of English.

Decoding

Sounding out unfamiliar words with accuracy and growing confidence.

Word Recognition

Building a sight vocabulary of high-frequency and irregular words.

Fluency

Reading with appropriate rate, accuracy, and expression that supports meaning.

Vocabulary

Growing word knowledge and meaning across spoken and written language.

Reading Comprehension

Making meaning, drawing inferences, and thinking critically about text.

Instructional Levels — By Ability, Not Just Grade

Students are placed according to demonstrated reading ability rather than grade level alone. After the initial assessment, each learner begins at the instructional level where they can grow with success — meeting them where they are and moving them forward at a purposeful pace.

01
Reading Readiness

Phonemic awareness, letter recognition, letter-sound relationships, and beginning sound blending.

02
Beginning Reader

Basic phonics, decoding simple words, high-frequency words, and reading simple sentences.

03
Developing Reader

More advanced phonics, decoding unfamiliar words, increasing reading fluency, vocabulary development, and basic comprehension.

04
Fluent Reader

Improving reading rate, accuracy, expression, vocabulary, and comprehension of increasingly complex passages.

05
Advanced Reader

Higher-level vocabulary, multisyllabic words, inference, main ideas, supporting details, summarization, and deeper reading comprehension.

06
Critical & Analytical Reader

Analyzing increasingly challenging texts, evaluating arguments and evidence, recognizing author's purpose and perspective, drawing conclusions, comparing texts, and developing critical-reading skills.

Placement is based primarily upon the student's demonstrated reading ability and assessment results rather than age or grade level alone.

Where We Begin

Initial Reading Assessment

Before instruction begins, each student completes a brief, low-pressure reading assessment. This helps us determine the student's instructional reading level and identify specific strengths and needs across the seven reading skills.

  • ✦Letter knowledge and phonemic awareness screening
  • ✦Decoding and word-reading inventory
  • ✦Oral reading fluency check
  • ✦Listening and reading comprehension sampling
